Main trends for this season

by Katarzyna Jeromska

It is not a secret that fashion goes in a spiral. Things that were in trend some 10 years ago, and that you thought could be thrown from your wardrobe, could easily become fashionable next season.

Probably every girl and woman has a big old shapeless down jacket which is probably used to go to the nearest shop, or to spend weekend in a country house. Most of us are looking for some fitted coats to wear for everyday life. Unfortunately, most of those coats are pretty expensive and such kind of purchase often hits the wallet. Good news for all of us! This season we can get our big down jackets back from the wardrobe and be sure to be trendy! According to worlds most influential editions, down jackets are becoming trendy again. Moreover, the bigger the better. So, don’t be afraid to look ridiculous or absurdly. Those coats have already got many famous fans, such as Rihanna and Jessica Bill.

There is no need to say that mannish suits are widely popular among business women. It always looks classy and businesslike, it makes an impression of solidity. For everybody who wants to look stylish even at work: we have some new elements! New core element is… simply vertical strip. In addition, vertical stripes have always been popular because of its magic feature to make us slimmer than we are!

The trend of this season which is closest personally to me is military style. Needless to say, that the right combination of such kind of clothes attracts the attention of the opposite gender. Military clothes suit to active, bright and self-confident people, so if you are one of those – don’t hesitate to have this element in your wardrobe! Such world-famous brands as Dolce & Gabbana or Ermanno Scervino use it actively in their autumn collections. Talking about coats, designers prefer long patterns with typical military colors: green, brown, blue. Coats could also be represented with uniform jackets, which look stylish in combination with short trousers, high-heeled shoes or boots with lacing.

Another must-have element of new season is velvet. Despite its bad feature to make people look bigger, Giorgio Armani, Roberto Cavalli, Christiano Burani and Trussardi use it stylish material in their collections for coats, suits and even dresses. Another popular material, which is often combined with velvet is leather. Diesel, Tods, Christiano Burani, Philipp Plein and Chloe use leather actively. Vinyl, which traditionally has been though to be wore by narrow groups of people, more and more often can be seen on the streets of big cities.

Talking about colors, violet (Ashish Gupta presents great sets for the evening or party), pastel colors, fuchsia, upholstery prints (don’t be afraid to look like a carpet or curtain), combination of red and black, gold, silver and bronze colors are very trendy this season. Moreover, leopard print is popular for coats. It was used in collections of such world-known designers, as Roberto Cavalli, Giamba, Aigner, Just Cavalli and Ermanno Scervino.

And last but not least, don’t try to choose skinny clothes if you want to look stylish. Loose models are in trend, and moreover, it is good if your suits would be multilayered, and not obligatory with the same style. Im Isola Marras and Prada showed it in their collections for fall – winter 2016 – 2017. And loose clothes fit well both to slim women as well as ladies with a curvy shape.

But of course, the crucial part in choosing your wardrobe is choosing something that would fit you. Even the trendiest element could look ridiculous if it doesn’t fit you. So be careful and attentive while shopping and let every woman look gorgeous!
